Hello friends! It’s been a whirlwind past few weeks. All I have to say is, a loving family means everything in the world! We’ve been on the road a lot during this transition season, but nevertheless, here’s a much overdue post on one of my favorite black-and-white looks, with the perfect pair of wide leg pants.
Do you wear white after Labor Day? I sure do! This is one fashion rule I’d like to bury to the ground forever, especially when the fabric weight is right, and it’s still 90 degrees just last week 🙂 The texture of these Ada & Vic wide leg pants (with just the perfect amount of flare while slim enough at the hips = perfection!) still work for transitional season, and this would be perfect with the oh-so-trendy Band or Military jacket for cooler temperatures.
I prefer my wide leg pants to be really w-i-d-e, and that’s tough to find. I’m so happy to have discovered emerging designer Ada & Vic and the website Runway2Street, which carries a variety of incredible designs at reasonable price tags. Since the bottom is wide, I styled this with a fitted, minimalist top, and a wide corset belt to add structure. This combo keeps the minimalist, clean and crisp feel while adding statement and pizzaz. I’ve also styled these pants with a fit-and-flare, high-low style top as seen here.

About the Location
Michael Schlow’s empire of restaurants has taken over DC by a storm over the past couple years. With Tico, Riggsby, Alta Stada, Conosci and Casolare, the Boston chef now owns more locations here in DC than his hometown! What I love even more than the great food and fun atmosphere, is the amazing collection of artwork (all by his wife) present in their locations. Tico’s cuisine is a fusion of American flavors with Schlow’s love for Spain, Mexico and South America. If you have a chance, check out this location along with his other restaurants!
