Spring is in the air! Washington, D.C. is full of amazing museums, and the National Gallery of Art of one of my favorites. Designed by I.M. Pei, the East Building houses an incredible collection of modern and contemporary art. We even have our mini Louvre glass pyramids (just FYI, these were designed before the Louvre’s :)!
Today’s fun outfit is built up upon a denim and leather jacket given to me by my friend Shannon, with the coolest 80’s style shoulder pads. This look is definitely coming back in style, and I welcome it with open arms. I’ve even dug up an old bolero jacket from a 1989 homecoming dress, can’t wait to style it!
The jacket, casual tee, and long tulle skirt gives this an edgy grunge vibe. White booties are also a hot trend right now, and this Jacquemus pair provides just the right amount of brightness to an otherwise dark outfit.
I can’t even tell you how obsessed I am with this hat design from Moncler Gamme Rouge! Pom pom hats are a thing, but this fedora version just took this trend to the next level.
I am also honored to be an ambassador for Stella Valle‘s #womenwarriors #BEONE campaign – a movement geared to inspire women to be the best version of themselves, achieve their biggest dreams, and have a positive impact on others while doing so. The cool, edgy designs from sisters and Army veterans are not just for accessorizing, but provide inspirational messages as well. Here I have “Believe and you will become”, “I am a woman warrior” and initials of my hubby and son as a reminder of the rocks in my life. Check out the Be One campaign page, pledge to be a Woman Warrior and give back to @nbcf and @getheadstrong !
