Hello friends! Today I’m excited to share with you one of my all-time favorite looks, combining so many summer trends in one outfit – sheer, ruffles, deconstructed shirting, and socks with sandals. For summer 2017, it is obvious that ruffles are still everywhere and maintaining their stronghold. While it is flirty and feminine, I prefer something with a cooler edge and this Off-White skirt (see my other piece here by Vigil Abloh) in a deconstructed shirting pattern is a perfect juxtaposition to the girly ruffles of this Sandy Liang top.
I luckily found the skirt on sale at Italist, a collective of Italian boutiques with prices that are usually lower than other online shopping destinations due to the exchange rate (if in the U.S.). You do sometimes have to pay for tax and shipping, but usually it still ends up being a better deal. This skirt is currently sold out but there’s a similar version here.
Thes sequin socks are also by Off-White, aren’t they fun? I’ve been meaning to try the socks with sandals trend for a while, but haven’t came across the right “socks” I feel excited about until I saw these. They are a bit thick for DC’s current heatwave but will definitely be making back into the wardrobe in a few weeks.
