It’s good to be back! Hope everyone’s having an enjoyable summer. The heat of this season is not my thing, but now being a mom I’m spending more time under the sun than ever – at the playground, pool, etc. I was delighted when Georgetown launched their ParasolShare program – which distributes parasols throughout the area to keep visitors cool while strolling along the streets. Being Asian, I love the idea of a parasol to shield the sun (though this summer I’ve been taking more opportunities to soak up some Vitamin D), and they can even make a cute accessory, too!
Nearly 50 Georgetown stores, restaurants, salons, galleries and hotels are providing parasols for shoppers to use while visiting the commercial district. You can pick one up and drop it off at any participating location.
About the outfit – I’ve been a fan of the experimental denim looks from Marques Almeida, and was excited to have found this fun skirt at Net-a-Porter on sale. To allow the skirt to shine, I kept rest of the outfit simple with an old Moschino top, vintage-style Gucci Boston bag, and Nicholas Kirkwood pearl sandals (obsessed with the design!) which were also on sale. Stella McCartney sunnies completed the look.
Have fun and stay safe in the sun, loves! #beattheheat
