Happy Holidays dears! The blog is currently a bit backlogged – but a good outfit is still a good outfit, so here you go with some recent looks on IG!

I love black and white as an outfit’s base; they make a clean palette for statement pieces of all textures and colors. Trends like metallics, sequins and jumpsuits have made a steady comeback this season; however, I decided to update them for this look. My leather jumpsuit is layered over a white blouse with bow details and flared sleeves, which offsets the suit’s silver biker details. I added these black Lanvin ankle boots to coordinate with the jumpsuit, and provide a canvas for my sequined Off White socks, the outfit’s main focal point.

A good outfit always comes with accessories, and I wanted to make sure mine made statements against the black, white and silver palette. This statement ear cuff coordinated perfectly with the whole look. The tassels provide a contemporary detail that matches the jumpsuit and socks’ details, and the pearls on its’ edges complemented my white blouse. This piece is available at Nova Bossa, a new D.C. store that only sells pieces by female Latin American designers, and this earring goes with everything!

I also added my new Celine Cabas bag as a colorful statement piece. It’s pink fur and red-lined strap offset the black leather – and would you believe that this color has been my new “neutral”?  It seriously goes with so many things in my closet! Not only is this a statement accessory, it is much more functional than I thought it would be.

An outfit like this is perfect for running errands, shopping or going out to eat. This fabulous Upper West town house by Miller and Smith, a model for new additions to the One Loudoun neighborhood, is a short walk away from the area’s best shops, eateries and streetscapes. I’d likely wear this for an afternoon of light shopping and lunch before heading back to relax in one of these spacious salons – one of the four per model. Be sure to check these models out if you haven’t already; One Loudoun is expanding quickly, and these are fantastic additions to the area!
