Today I am featuring a thermo-reactive (or, heat-sensitive) top from Alexander’s Fall 2014 collection. When I saw the video of his show during Fashion Week showcasing this technology, I almost fainted when I realized what was happening on that spinning stage 😀 Being a bit of a tech lover, I’m a sucker for innovative fashion that combines technology with style. Heat sensitive fashion is not a new thing, but this sure is a much more sophisticated implementation than those color-changing t-shirts from the 90’s!
The weather was not warm enough for a full color change before the security guard at the Hirshhorn was about to kick us out for taking pictures. I think the natural, uneven pattern of the color change is like modern art, don’t you?
