A knit poncho is an easy, comfortable way to keep cozy while looking chic, and this lightweight one is perfect for spring. In this post I will show you an unexpected way to wear one. My obsession with ponchos started when my little one came along – they make fantastic and stylish breastfeeding covers! Not only are they easy to wear, the shape flows beautifully with movement. When I first saw this one by Rick Owens (original picture here), it seemed a bit boring. I wanted to experiment with the draping, and thought, why not put an arm through the collar? Throw the remaining flaps over the opposite shoulder – and voila! You’ve got an asymmetrical one-arm dress. Layer a simple tube dress underneath for coverage, and you’re good to go!
It’s always fun to come up with creative ways to wear items in your closet. Is there something you have that can be worn in an unintended way? Try it out and see how it goes!
