This post came a bit late, since this outfit was shot a couple months ago, but the embroidered bomber trend still can be rocked into this fall. A hot item this past spring, the vintage look of these quirkily stitched jackets adds unexpected life to your outfit. Trends like this, however, could become outdated quickly, and while I dwell in my obsession of designs like this Gucci number, I’m also unwilling to spend thousands of
dollars on trends with limited lifespan. So what’s a girl to do? Shop in the kid’s section.
The affordable selections of embroidered bombers this past spring was lacking. The vintage numbers seem overpriced, while the cheaper ones such as ASOS were, well… cheap looking. I came across this pink one in the kids section at Zara, and was immediately drawn to the deliciously pink color scheme. I normally wear a size 2 on top, and the girls size 11-12 fits well with room to spare. The sleeves fit more like quarter-length, but ruching takes away the awkwardness.
And get this – this jacket is now only $15.99! You can’t get better than that.
Enjoy, and see you next time!
