Let’s cut to the point: fashion has been crazy this year! I’ve already made the statement that we’re in an age where it feels like everything is trending and nothing is out of the question to wear (and if you’ve followed the blog long enough to see the outfits I’ve created, you know I’m not complaining!). Black and white is a safe palette for everyone in the (sometimes) “troubled waters” of the fashion world. Another no-fail summer look? Polka dots!
Following the black-and-white route, I chose to use gingham as the companion to the Jacquemus top. This top is actually from SS2017, but as you can see polka dots are still trending hard this summer as they seem to be everywhere I shop!
I did need one extra statement, though: this vintage red Chanel cross body from Le Prix – a brand-new consignment site (formerly SnobSwap) just launched this spring, and I’ve been honored to be their brand ambassador. The bag adds a pop of color to my outfit in a bag style that’s easy to wear and style. Expect to see more amazing pieces from Le Prix on the blog soon – they have fantastic stuff on their new site and I’d encourage you guys to check it out!
To enhance the geometric and black & white theme, I wore two of my favorite pieces I’ve acquired in the last year: these extreme Marques Almaida earrings, which coordinate with the shapes in my clothes’ patterns, and my white SJP pumps (signed by Sarah Jessica herself!). You may have noticed that I’ve worn ALL of the pieces in this entire outfit numerous times styled differently. That’s another aspect of fashion that many overlook; sometimes, “recycling” the old and combining it with the new is what makes the best looks. And that never goes out of style.
