The Latin influence was seen throughout Spring 2016 runways, which reminded me of this embroidered jacket from H&M’s Conscious collection a couple years ago – its just the right amount of ethnic touch without being costumey. It’s a great alternative from the embroidered bomers (which I also love) everywhere this season. The unexpected intricate lace paring makes this outfit burst with texture play, and who else does better lace at affordable prices than Self Portrait? This is one of my favorite pieces from designer Han Chong. I can’t get enough of him! The ankle boots added a dose of edginess to offset the delicacy of this dress.
One of DC’s favorite times of the year – Cherry Blossom season – is here! We did fight the crowds to get some shots of the real cherry blossoms by Tidal Basin, but I think these magnolia trees are beautiful as well. We are lucky enough to have this park outside of work with these gorgeous blooms – so a quick photo break from the office is a must!
