DC may not be known as a fashion city, but it is full of intelligent, driven and well-rounded folks doing great things.  I’ve had the pleasure of knowing sisters Elise and Emily Dang, the brains and beauties behind Snobswap – the only online resource to shop brick and mortar consignment stores.  Consignment treasure hunting have always been their love, and they take goods from physically out-of-reach stores and make them available to you, all in one website. I found this Missoni dress and vintage coat at one of Snobswap’s boutique partners, Chic to Chic, and wore this ensemble to the Best of Snobswap event.  Not only are these ladies kick-a$$ entrepreneurs, they also throw great parties!  What’s not to love?

Besides being more wallet-friendly, consignment shopping recycling fashions is also a great way to reduce waste.  H&M has a great garment collection program which allows you to bring in bags of unwanted clothes in exchange for a discount at the store.  Before you throw out any unwanted fashions, call your local H&M store to find out if they participate in the program!
